Texture, respected

Curls, cut dry.

A curly hair salon in downtown West Palm Beach that actually treats curls like curls, cut dry in their natural pattern, shaped spiral by spiral, colored without killing the spring. From wavy to coily, ringlets to shag-mullets.

Why do you cut curls dry?

Because curls don’t live wet. Cutting curly hair dry, in its natural pattern, means we see exactly how every spiral springs and where the weight actually sits, so the shape you leave with is the shape you wake up with. No surprise shrinkage, no triangle.

I’ve been burned by stylists who don’t get curls. How is this different?

This is a teaching studio, texture is part of the curriculum, not a nervous improvisation. Tell us your curl history at the free consultation and bring photos of the best your hair has ever looked; we’ll be honest about how to get back there.

How much does a curly cut cost in West Palm Beach?

Curly cuts at Scotch Bonnet follow our regular cut menu: from $78 with a Stylist up to $160 with the studio Director. The price is confirmed at a free consultation, density and length matter more with curls than with anything else we do.

Can you color curly hair without wrecking the curl?

Yes, gently lifted, dimension-placed color like our curl-lit balayage keeps the pattern intact. Over-processed curls lose their spring, so we lighten conservatively and build over sessions when needed.

From clients who found their curl person

Monica is the best! I love my shag cut! I am African American and she did a great job at layering and styling my hair.
